No More Injustice / Enslaved — 2012-2014

  • Students: Michelle Jacoby and Kalista Consol
  • Community Partners: 14 humanitarian anti-trafficking, fair trade organizations
  • Campus Partners: SLiCE, Greek Life, Lory Student Center
  • Project Description: During a two day event, 527 participants walked through a human trafficking simulation highlighting sexual slavery, war slavery, and work slavery. After the simulation, participants were encouraged to connect with various nonprofit agencies tackling this issue

RamCycle – 2009-2011

CSU and Fort Collins community members

  • Students: Kerry Byrne, Lorin Scott-Okerblom and Brenna Wozniak
  • Community Partner: FC Bikes
  • Campus Partners: CSU Campus Bicycle Advisory Committee and CSU Office of Residence Life
  • Project Description: RamCycle’s focus was on providing education to first-year CSU students on safe bicycling practices in order to reduce the number of bicycle crashes and injuries on campus and in the community and to create a safer and more conscientious transportation environment.

T.G.I.F. (Thank Golly it’s Friday!) – 2007-2008

Youth with special needs

  • Students: Kelsey Paul and Halley Goymerac
  • Community Partner: Respite Care
  • Campus Partner: Special Needs Swim (SNS) program through the SLiCE Office
  • Project Description: T.G.I.F. was created to provide youth with disabilities the opportunity to connect with other youth and CSU students for fun and friendship. This program benefits the community by raising awareness regarding issues of ability and disability. T.G.I.F. will become an ongoing program of the SLiCE Office in Fall 2008.
