Extraordinary thought goes into art, especially for the Rejoinder Exhibit that opens in The Curfman Gallery located inside of the Lory Student Center on July 1.
“Rejoinder” means a reply to a response. This particular reply is one that has occurred over four weeks with seven artists from the Downtown Artery located in Old Town Fort Collins.
Each artist happens to be an alumni of Colorado State University. Their goal with this collaborative work is to bridge the gap between the Artery’s culture and the University.
The art in the exhibit lends itself to a more collaborative style. For a month, the artists came into Curfman Gallery to build onto the previous artist’s contribution:
- The first week: artists Riley Furmanek and Molly Bjustron
- The second week: solo artist Lindee Zimmer
- The third week: artists Justin Camilli and Ben Buttice
- The fourth week: artists Takeo Hiromitsu and Graham Eshen
The end result is a responsive design to creativity. The Rejoinder Exhibit has its opening party on July 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Curfman Gallery in the Lory Student Center. This event is open to the public and is one you won’t want to miss!
