#MeToo & Radical Self-Love
April 18, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeThis April, honoring survivors’ experiences and celebrating their healing is at the forefront of several Sexual Assault Awareness Month events at CSU.
The Women and Gender Advocacy Center is excited to host this new expo titled #metoo & Radical Self Love which is specifically designed for primary and secondary survivors of sexual violence. We believe an integral part of sexual assault awareness is providing support to those who have experienced violence firsthand, as well as those who serve as support systems to loved ones. This can include partners, family, and friends – also known as secondary survivors.
We know there is no “secret-formula” for self-care so this event is all about trying out different activities around healing and coping to see what works for you. We will provide a buffet dinner and different stations to visit all over the LSC including: a rage room, massages, yoga, conversations around engaging intimacy after trauma, therapy dogs, culturally relevant healing spaces led by Student Diversity Programs and Services offices, gift bags, and more!
The event is free and no pre-registration is required. If you have any questions please email our Assistant Director of Educational Programs, Kristy Kumar at kristy.kumar@colostate.edu. We look forward to seeing you there!
