Student Graphic Designer
As a Student Graphic Designer with LSC Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to manage real design projects from start to finish, beginning with the client meetings and ending with final print and digital products. You’ll come away with hands-on experience in project management, including creating time and material estimates, contracting with vendors, working with brand standards, and managing real timelines. Student Graphic Designers will work alongside career graphic designers, web developers, video production artists, and public relations professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A second semester sophomore or higher student studying Graphic Design or a related field.
- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and standard internet applications.
- Ability to work on Macintosh computers.
- Easily able grasp project parameters and manage tasks based on a timeline, strategy, and budget.
- Responds to constructive feedback and able to adapt to changes.
- Able to demonstrate creative style and past experience through samples of previous projects.
- Commitment to the Principles of Community (inclusion, integrity, respect, service, and social justice).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with a commercial printer.
- Basic knowledge of web and social media.
- A self-starter who can begin, maintain, and move projects forward.
- Active socially within the University community and beyond.
- An interest in refining skills for a career in marketing or corporate communications.
- Time management skills.
Student Social Media Coordinator
As a Student Social Media Coordinator with LSC Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the LSC’s Instagram channel, @csulsc. You’ll have the opportunity to plan content calendars, work with specific clients, and learn about trends and techniques in digital marketing. You’ll work alongside career coordinators with multimedia, content and communication, and graphic design. You’ll gain first-hand access to LSC Leadership and CSU community events. This is a great opportunity to get real-world practical experience, build up your resume, and create projects for your portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A second semester freshman or higher, studying graphic design, marketing, business, merchandising, writing, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of web and digital content
- Experience using social media, especially Instagram
- Skilled in photography and basic photo editing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and standard internet applications
- Ability to work on Macintosh computers
- Easily able grasp project parameters and manage tasks based on a timeline, strategy, and budget
- Responds to constructive feedback and able to adapt to changes
- Able to demonstrate strategic thinking and past experience through samples of previous projects.
- Commitment to the Principles of Community (inclusion, integrity, respect, service, and social justice).

Student Marketing Team Member
As a Student Marketing Team Member with LSC Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in real-time marketing by managing digital advertising, specifically geared towards the Student Center’s LCD screens. You’ll promote the department’s tailored advertising services, take online orders from clients, ensure image quality and branding standards are met, deploy multi-media assets, and oversee invoicing and other forms of customer service. You’ll have input on the department’s social media and website strategy, participate in student design campaign critiques, and represent the building at tabling events across campus. Student Marketing Team Members will work alongside career graphic designers, web developers, video production artists, and public relations professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A junior or higher student studying Business, Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, or related fields.
- Easily grasp complex instructions to use different technology platforms.
- Knowledge of common software packages, especially Adobe Photoshop, Outlook and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of web applications including Word Press.
- Ability to work on Macintosh computers.
- Highly organized and pays close attention to detail and deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Customer service experience.
- Prior knowledge of project management software a plus.
- Able to set and meet individual goals
