As part of CSU’s 150 Anniversary, SLiCE challenges the CSU Community to participate in the Rams 150 Service Challenge. Public service is one of Colorado State University’s land-grant concepts, among teaching, research, extension, and engagement. Thus, we ask CSU community members (as in students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University) to track any efforts made and time spent toward volunteering and serving within their local communities. This challenge starts August 2019 and concludes in June 2020 for our Sesquicentennial year.
We strive to best track these hours occurring each month, to together reach the following goals.
- 150,000 volunteer hours completed from those within the CSU community
- 150 distinct service programs/volunteering opportunities for those within the CSU Community
