SLiCE Adaptive Swim is looking for CSU students who are willing to challenge themselves, expand their understanding of diversity, deepen their appreciation of difference, develop relationships, and of course: have fun in the water!
SLiCE Adaptive Swim meets weekly from October 2019 to April 2020 (excluding CSU breaks). Prior to each swim session is an educational reflection which covers various topics including disability, service, and diversity. Volunteers are able to develop relationships with other CSU student volunteers and community members. Volunteers can serve in one of two roles: paired with a partner or as a floater to facilitate large group activities in the pool!
Volunteer applications for the SLiCE Adaptive Swim program are accepted on a first come, first serve basis; therefore, we recommend completing your application as soon as possible! Once your application is received you will receive an invitation to interview with a member of the SLiCE Adaptive Swim Team. Interviews will be conducted in September 2019. All volunteers are required to attend volunteer training in October 2019.
The Priority Deadline for Fall 2019 Volunteer Applications is Friday, September 6 at 5:00pm.
If you have questions about the application process, please contact the SLiCE Adaptive Swim Team.
