The mission of the Lory Student Center (LSC) is to serve as a student-centered organization at the heart of campus, providing programs and services that create an inclusive community and inspire active, engaged learning. As an auxiliary enterprise within the Division of Student Affairs, the Lory Student Center is a comprehensive student union recognized nationally as one of the leading university centers. The LSC annual operating budget is approximately $40 million. Nearly 125 full-time career staff and 650 student and hourly staff serve approximately 24,000 people entering the facility on a daily basis and hosts approximately 13,000 annual events and meetings. LSC Business Services Job Descriptions

Job duties
- Record accounts payable transactions into university accounting system, Kuali, for accounts payable for LSC Bookstore.
- This position is responsible for processing text and non-text invoices through the MBS system: Matches and posts invoices in the MBS inventory management system using receiving data. Contacts selling and receiving departments to resolve discrepancies. Posts invoices in MBS accounts payable program, making adjustments such as threshold balancing as necessary. Matches and posts credit memos with chargebacks in MBS accounts payable program, makes adjustments to attached chargebacks as necessary to balance chargebacks with credit memos.
- Helps in bookstore cash room when needed. This includes counting and packing cash bags, rolling coin and entering cash sales into MBS sales audit system.
- Requesting and verifying vender statements when needed.
- Attention to detail is a necessary requirement.
- Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned.

A Lory Student Center (LSC) Student IT Support Technician will work as part of a team providing staff and student customers excellent support by assisting them in the use of computers, software, and various other technologies. This could involve helping to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers in a variety of departments and retail centers. The position will help execute the day-to-day operations and long-term projects of the LSC IT Department.
Pay rate: $14.00 per hour.
Hours per week: 10-20
Specific hours: The Business office is open M-F 8am-4pm, hours will need to take place during that time.

Job duties
- Provide high-quality service to Lory Student Centers’ customers in person and/or via remote desktop sessions, emails, phone calls, campus tech support ticketing system and work requests.
- Explain and discuss complex IT concepts to non-technical staff and students in a way that makes sense to them.
- Must be able to comprehend written instructions for equipment operations, process, procedures, policies and guidelines.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment to work areas on a walking campus.
- Maintain open communication in the office between professional staff and student technicians.
- Provide basic user training and set up computers, laptops, printers and other IT devices.
- Know and use all resources of the IT group – who does what and what type of help everyone can give, whether they are a student or professional staff member.
- Independently complete work requests and tasks while keeping tasks organized within the office.
