The LSC Arts Program

Bringing the Visual Arts to the CSU Community

The Lory Student Center Arts Program is a division of Campus Activities seeking to bring the visual arts to all students at CSU. Therefore, we manage three exhibition spaces in the LSC: the Curfman Gallery, Duhesa Gallery and the Sideshow. Through a variety of exhibition opportunities, we hope to create an environment that welcomes emerging, nationally-renowned, Native American, and student artists.

Galleries

The LSC Arts Program manages three exhibition spaces on campus: the Hallery, the Curfman, and the Duhesa Galleries. These galleries showcase work from nationally and internationally recognized artists as well as CSU students, staff and alumni throughout the year.

Collection

Throughout the LSC, there are over 250 artworks, all of which are managed by the Arts Program. Moreover, these pieces create a diverse visual experience for all LSC visitors. Thus, it is our mission to share this collection with the CSU Community as it continues to grow.

Exhibitions

Exhibitions in the LSC Arts galleries highlight the art from student, emerging and established artists. Thus, these exhibits focus on creating an environment for art to thrive. From funky inflatables to local mapping, the Arts Program shares diverse work all year.

LSC Arts Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! There are many opportunities for students to showcase their art throughout the year in several locations in the LSC. Primarily, student work is hung year round in the Sideshow, our student dedicated art space across the hall from the Curfman Gallery on level 200. To inquire about showing your work, you can message us on instagram or email lsc_artsprogram@mail.colostate.edu. Additionally, there is an annual student exhibition in the Curfman Gallery for students to submit work.

The galleries are located in the Lory Student Center. You can find the Curfman Gallery on the 200 level near the South entrance across from Morgan Library, while the Duhesa Gallery can be found on the 300 level of the LSC near the Grand Ballroom and the Native American Cultural Center. The Sideshow, our student exhibition space, is located on level 200 across from the Curfman Gallery.
