On August 6th, 2007, Transit Center received the LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The construction project, which was completed in the autumn of 2006, created a new entrance at the north end of the Lory Student Center, adding more than 14,000 square-feet and renovating more than 7,000 square-feet of existing space. The enhanced space includes a Transfort customer counter, flat screen monitors displaying departure times and news stories and an indoor passenger waiting area to make public transportation more comfortable and convenient for CSU students and visitors. The new and renovated spaces also feature a Campus Information desk, Cam’s Lobby Shop and Bagel Place 2, Off-Campus Life Office and new meeting rooms.

The Lory Student Center Transit Center Serves the Community

No student fee dollars or tuition dollars were used for the renovation. All funding for the CSU Transit Center renovation project was provided by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) after several years of work by the City of Fort Collins and Colorado State University.  The result of this collaboration is a facility that serves our community effectively and efficiently.

The Transit Center is staffed Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to answer your Transfort questions.
