Tracking/Clocking-In During Your ProDevo Activities
Before beginning, communicate with your supervisor/employee regarding how many hours per week may be worked and agree how that will be communicated. Because these opportunities are shared with multiple departments with different reporting structures, there will be different requirements. Clock in during the time you’re engaging in ProDevo opportunities; send a follow-up email to your supervisor outlined below.
For information on how to remotely clock-in through TimeClock Plus, click HERE.
Many of these opportunities require trust and integrity on the employee’s part. Please only report what you actually completed. Consider this as important as our standards for Academic Integrity.
SUGGESTED BEGINNING the Conversation Email Language to edit appropriately:
Hello [Employee],
As you may have heard, the LSC building will be closed for necessary maintenance and inaccessible between the dates of December 18-January 12 (these dates and details are subject to change). Because your position usually works in the building over breaks, I want to start the conversation early about how we will provide you hours during the building closure.
You and I will create a plan for professional development over this time period and ensure you have access to the technology or materials you will need to complete it.
The LSC Employment Team has provided a list of resources that are “LSC Approved and/or Recommended” at SHAPE.colostate.edu. It includes YouTube videos, LinkedIn Learning options, podcasts, books, etc. We can use this as a time to intentionally focus on CSU’s Career Competencies, and focus on preparing your skills for not only the requirements of your job, but your future career path as well.
Let’s set up a time to make a plan together. Let me know if you have questions; if I don’t have the answer, I can work to find it.
Thank you,
[Your Name]
