Lory Student Center (LSC) is a student-centered organization at the heart of campus, providing programs and services that create an inclusive community and inspire active, engaged learning. Nearly 24,000 people enter the building on a daily basis. LSC Dining services is comprised of catering, 5 coffee shops, 3 food venues, 2 convenience stores, and the Ramskeller Pub & Grub. What Do Catering Cooks Do?
- Learn and practice safe food handling and maintain a sanitary work environment. Help monitor and document times and temperatures.
- Help prepare, arrange, garnish, and display a variety of foods for all types of events. You’ll learn everything start to finish from grilling steaks and making sauces to packaging sandwiches and building charcuterie trays.
- Organize foods and master timing for execution of event orders.
- Help clean up and organize kitchens during and after events.

Cam’s Lobby Shop and Lake Street Market exist to serve the needs of the students and faculty of Colorado State University as well as members of the Fort Collins community. What do Dish Stewards Do?
- Learn & practice safe food handling and maintain a sanitary work environment. Help monitor and document times and temperatures.
- Wash and sanitize dishes plates, pots, trays, utensils, and other equipment for use by the catering kitchens and other service areas.
- Organize, deliver, and restock clean dishes to storage areas, and collect dirty dishes.
- Monitor and ensure proper dish machine operation, cleaning, and regular maintenance.
- Help clean up and organize kitchens during and after events.

What do Catering Servers do?
- Learn & practice safe food handling and maintain a sanitary work environment. Help monitor and document times and temperatures.
- Help set up and serve many types of events including receptions, buffets, and sit-down meals. Will include preparing beverages, building display trays, tending to buffets, serving tables, bussing, and arranging table setups.
- Organize, gather equipment, and prepare for upcoming events.
- Make deliveries with food and beverage in and around the Lory Student Center.
- Help clean up and organize kitchens during and after events, including some dishwashing.
