The Campus Information & Box Office, located on level 200 of the Lory Student Center near Sweet Sinsations and the Plaza entrance, serves as the campus’s central lost and found, in partnership with the CSU Police Department. Bring your CSU ID or another form of ID to claim your valuable item(s) and be prepared to provide detailed information about your lost item! Per Colorado law, all unclaimed items will be discarded after 30 days.

For a better chance of finding your lost item, please submit a lost item ticket to Campus Information & Box Office AND CSU Police Department.
Our Policies
What items do we accept?
The LSC Lost and Found accepts items from anywhere on campus such as the following:
- Purses, Wallets, and Backpacks
- Credit Cards, Driver’s Licenses, Ram Cards, Passports etc
- Electronics (Phones, laptops, tablets, headphones, etc.)
- Anything relating to electronics (cases, chargers, etc.)
- Keys/Lanyards (car, dorm, bike, etc.)
- Clothing and Accessories (coats, shoes, scarves, sunglasses, etc.)
- Paper Goods (books, journals, etc.)
- Miscellaneous items such as: skateboards or umbrellas
- Jewelry
- Pocketknives and Multitools
What about valuables?
- Phones, computers, tablets, flash drives, wallets, keys, individual bank cards, government identification, cash, checks, and other forms of payment are stored in a secure location.
- Resident hall keys will be turned in to housing and dining services.
- All solo forms of ID’s, credit cards, or other personal items not attached to another item, will be shredded after spending 30 days in our lost and found.
What items do we NOT accept?
- Water bottles
- Dangerous/Hazardous Materials such as:
- Guns or anything that looks like a gun (bbguns, airsoft guns, etc.)
- Paraphernalia including tools or equipment
- Vapes, vape pens, or alcohol
- Pepper Spray or illegal knives such as switchblades or anything with a blade longer than 3.5 inches
- Bicycles (call CSUPD at 970-491-7695) or you may file a stolen bike report online at this link.
The following items are disposed of immediately if turned in:
- Food, drinks, tupper-ware or lunchboxes
- Soiled or dirty garments
- Unidentifiable loose papers
- Alcohol, vapes, zyns, tobacco products, or lighters
- Toiletries including brushes, makeup, toothbrushes etc.
