The specific purpose of this award winning leadership experience is to help diverse students from across the country develop the leadership and professional skills necessary to attain career leadership success after graduation, as well as the inspiration and confidence needed to make a positive impact in their community, nation, and world!
Each year, this transformational leadership organization attains its goal of impacting the lives of hundreds of traditional, non-traditional, and first-generation students all across the country through incredible leadership and career development programs.

Latinx Leads!
November 17-19 | 2023 | New Orleans, LA
The Latinx Leads Student Leadership Conference is the largest national gathering of Latinx student leaders and campus-based advisors. We gather to address the most critical topics of diversity and social justice challenging our Latinx community within colleges and universities. Through experiential workshops, keynote sessions, and round table discussions, teams of students will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills needed to advance Latinx- related causes and increase their participation in leadership roles on their campuses. During the conference, students will be led through a facilitated workshop to develop a program or event (i.e. Campus Action Plan) that the team selects to work together on in order to bring back a piece of the Latinx Leads Conference experience to their own campus community.
The SLiCE Co-Curricular Leadership team partners with El Centro to send a group of students to Latinx Leads each year. To reduce financial barriers, this opportunity is fully funded.

SPRING 2024 CONFERENCES
Transforming Gender Conference

Hosted by the University of Colorado, Boulder, the TRANSforming Gender Conference (TGC) raises awareness about issues and identities in the trans community. Each year, we bring our community together and offer talks, trainings and forums on a wide variety of topics, including: parent and family Q&A, Intersex 101, queering biology, transgender youth advocacy, medical transition, and education for mental health providers. The conference is free to attend for all students, faculty, staff, and community members!
Campus Step Up: Centering Justice in Community

Become a part of this annual CSU tradition to CONNECT with CSU student leaders, LEARN to show up for community, and ACT to create social change! During Campus Step Up, our dynamic facilitation team will guide you through hands-on activities designed to celebrate diverse leadership, deconstruct oppression in America, and plan sustainable movements for social change within our communities. You will expand your vision of what it takes to create just communities while forming new connections with other CSU students to carry forward in your CSU journey.
This retreat is free to attend for all CSU students!
