The Colorado De’VIA Exhibition explored social justice and gave guests an opportunity to learn more about the deaf experience through different artwork and media.

The Annual Student Art Exhibition hosted by Colorado State University’s Curfman Gallery is the longest running recurring exhibition at CSU. The exhibition is open to all current Colorado State University students, both undergraduate and graduate, and serves to highlight the creative efforts of the student body. This year’s exhibition was juried by artists Ana Maria Hernando and Jaime Carrejo.

Using vibrant colors that awaken the soul, mixed media artist, Alyssa Hinton, invokes a theme of spiritual awakening through her unusual southeastern Native American imagery. Her work is a provocative portrayal of the folklore and history surrounding her roots, utilizing tradition and vision with a contemporary edge. Aether is an exploration of recent works by Diné artist JayCee Beyale. JayCee Beyale grew up in the Four Corners area of New Mexico, and received his BFA in printmaking from the University of New Mexico. He currently resides in Westminster, but travels often participates in collaborative murals and other art projects with fellow organizations and artists. By Wayne Crandell Good Old Paul Wells is an intaglio print by Wayne Crandell. It was acquired by the LSC Arts program on January 1st, 1973. It is now located in the LSC on the 300 floor east hall. This was the first print pulled out of an edition of 25 prints total. The intaglio process being used for this portraiture is the etching process.
